Meet and Greet page: Introduce yourself here!

I am so pleased I set up this meet and greet page. So far hundreds upon hundreds of you have taken the time to like, comment and share your blog with the community. I continuously look through the comments to see what great blogs have been shared, there are such a diverse range of topics and interests it reminds me why this site is so cool. We really are a fascinating species and the fact we all differ in what we like is what makes life seem fun.

Some of them make me laugh. Others are a lot more personal and used as a therapy or with an aim to provide awareness on certain topics. Many of them really do hit me and I am pleased that this channel can help in a small way, even if it contributes to a couple of views or even a follower. You all help me so much with your interest in my blog and it is the least I can do for now to give back some of that appreciation.

I will re-post this meet and greet page every now and then to give some of the newer comments some exposure, and allow those of you that have commented in the past to do so again if you wish.

Here it is, 358 great blogs so far to discover!

Sam

Welcome to my meet and greet page, inspired by some of the first bloggers I followed and I have love that my followers are eager to put their blog posts out there and read the posts shared by others. For this reason I have introduced this page and I will keep returning to it regularly.
I feel my community is now large enough to provide a page for you to promote your blog and get to know other bloggers a little better.

So with that, feel free to introduce yourself here. Who are you and where are you from? I would love to see the diversity here with such an international blogging audience and feel free to link your blog for others to read.

New to this page? Welcome!

Already posted here in the past? Feel free to stop by and say hello anytime.

It is going to be hard if not impossible to keep up with comments on here whilst I publish posts around it, however I am constantly on the page looking at all the contributions and I will re-post this regularly to give a better opportunity for posts to be seen.

Hopefully you find a new cool blog to follow and someone feels the same way about yours 🙂

Happy blogging!

  1. Hi Sam just started following your blog and read a few of yours and already loving the content, can’t wait for more.

Hello everyone I am new to blogging and just started blogging about a few days ago and I am embracing this new experience. I am aiming to blog everyday with a wide range of content but mostly just to blog my views and opinions on what’s either going on in the world and/or What’s going in my life. As I aim to stick at this mainly because now I started my OCD won’t really let me stop as I will feel as something is missing in my life I also aim to help or inspire anyone that comes across my blogs in a positive way. I hope to see one or two of you over there soon.

    • Greetings from a sunny South Africa! Lawyer returning to the farm and working in the agricultural business. What a welcoming change. Check out my new blog: 10 Things!!! Its not about farming, although I do plan on starting a farming blog with my brother, who is also involved in the business. But will keep you posted on that.

10 Things is a lifestyle blog centered around:

      1. Top tips in general. (Health, love, past experiences, lessons learnt)
      2. Featuring new and interesting people to check out. (YouTube personalities, Bloggers, Artists)
      3. A little inspiration, because we all need that from time to time. (You are not alone)
4.Build an online community. Nothing better than have like minded friends all over the world!

I look forward to meeting you all!

  2. This is such an awesome idea! Thank you!

Hi! My name is Sierra and I live in the Pacific Northwest. I just started blogging this year and am going way outside of my comfort zone sharing my story. I had decided to keep my chronic illness journey to myself, but found that it was not good for my mental health. Blogging is really becoming a form of therapy for me.

I wouldn’t consider myself a writer, but I am challenging myself to continue. I just write about what I am going through, both good and bad. Check it out if you get a chance!

    Thanks!

  3. I love this idea!

My name is Daniel. I was born and raised in Romania but have been living in different places for the last 14 years. I am currently based in Bolivia and preparing for a new transition. I am new to blogging and as you can guess, I blog about my travels.
I don’t really like taking pictures of myself, so I usually use stuffed animals and puppets instead. Hence the name of my blog: https://nomaddummy.com

Love your blog! Keep it up! 🙂

  4. What a thoughtful page to provide for your readers! I can’t wait to browse the comments and find my new favorite blog.

I’m Tina and I’ve been blogging for about 2 years now. My blog is about mental health, widowhood, and radical vulnerability. It’s a look inside my head and into my life where you can see what it’s like to struggle and thrive while living with a long list of mental and physical health labels, and also mourning the loss of my wife 2.5 years ago.

I can be found over at https://www.reallyrealblog.com

  5. Hi! I’m a new blogger here and my hope is just to reach others abd advocate and educate about what families go through with mental health illness. I have a 9 year old beautiful boy who has mental health issues and a daughter who has trichotillomania. Our journey hasn’t been easy but I would never trade it because of what I have learned. Thanks for the meet and greet!

  7. Hi Sam! My name is Shreyasee and I’m from Pune, India. I’ve recently started blogging and this is so much fun! It gives me a medium to talk about what I really want and to move on to other things.
I’m an architect and so have traveled a lot as a student. My blogs are basically related to travels in India and so if you want to know more about architecture, heritage, and places to visit, then do follow me 🙂 I also write about anything that interests me in general so yeah, haha!

  8. Hey Sam! My name is Lindsay and I started my blog yesterday (23FEB2019) and you were my first follower! (Besides my husband, of course, who is my biggest fan. :)) So thank you for visiting my site and taking a chance on me. You said in your ‘about’ that you want to inspire… I am inspired already by your attitude on blogging and your personal writing style. You have a very approachable voice and I’m interested in the way you see the world. And I love the meet and greet idea! Thank you for offering this opportunity.

Anywho… The first half of my life I worked as a teacher and a mental health nurse in the US Navy. I’ve had a change to wear a lot of hats and experience some great places, and I wouldn’t trade any of it in. But, last year my husband and I decided to change our pace and live a more simple life closer to Nature. We sold everything, bought a tiny house on wheels, and live like nomads across the US, staying every two weeks at state and national parks.

This life has changed us. We’ve become closer to and dependent upon Nature and the outdoors in ways that we never dreamed. Every day I am astounded by the Wonders of Nature! She is an awe-inspiring artist and I am lucky enough to be a witness. This is what I hope to share with words and pictures at my blog: Squeak of a Nuthatch. (https://soanuthatch.com/)

Nice to meet you all! And thanks again, Sam, for the opportunity!

  9. Hi Sam,

I’m quite new to blogging on a regular basis. I found your one as I simply like to travel and read about other peoples experiences and destinations.

My own blog is about film photography. I’m far away from calling myself an oustanding photographer, I simply love the analog process, doing my own films and prints in my darkroom. I like to say that other people do Yoga, I do film. That describes it pretty well. Slowing down everything a little bit, living the passion. It’s a ll about that.

So if anybody would like to see what I’m burning for, just give me a short (or maybe long) visit at
    https://analog.woodandvintage.art

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself and my blog, thanks to all of you for sharing your links here, I’m surfing through little by little. So many things to see.

Wish you all the best, hope to see you all some time somewhere – and if it’s just with our digital alter egos 🙂

  10. Hi my name is LaVonne and I just started about a year ago and lagged a little too discover my niche but now I’m back still discovering my niche. Blogging everyday is difficult. Managing social media platforms and working is tedious for me. I try at least once a week to blog and trying to do maybe to 2x a week. I have 2 blogs. One for my photography and another one my lifestyle blog about dealing with my chronic illness while enjoying life. The hard part is getting people to read it lol. So that’s my story. Nice to meet you.

Recently started to travel blog, but finding I’m writing about stuff I’m passionate about too, like the environment, so I think it’ll evolve into something more than travel.

  12. Hi I’m Leah and I run two blogs sites. One all things girly for the girly stuff and another my own world blogging the art of life where here like yourself I started out blogging and somehow ended up writing poems that I can relate too and hopefully my readers. I also would like to gain a larger audience as it would confirm for me if what I write is any good. I don’t consider myself a poet or philosopher but I like to express my feelings and somehow they end up coming out s poetic. So yeah maybe in time I’d like to publish a book containing poems, my life journey of trials and tribulations I think it would make an interesting read as I think I’ve had a fruitful life so far. As I’ve gotten older and hopefully wiser I have tried to become more mellow and look positively on all aspects of life, to take the chances and see what happens instead of being stuck in a rut. No point moaning about your situations if your not going to help yourself. So that’s me a full time working mum, keeping shit together and escaping daily woes through blogging. I love to hear from you guys and feedback would be wonderful.

  13. Hi, my name is Todd and thank you for visiting my page. My blog is centered solely around my business as a loan officer but I plan to start adding more human interest posts shortly. It sounds as though you are looking for meaning or searching for something more. It took me many years to realize what I was missing and I still feel as though I am not really living my life. There is only one chance to get it right, why waste time? Just a thought.

  15. I love this so much, thank you Sam for the opportunity!

I am a 20 something “writer” experimenting with blogging. I originally started writing as a playwright, then tried my hand at screenplays. I decided to try a platform that would encourage me to create something on a regular basis. I’m still trying to figure out my theme, and writing style, and it feels very messy. I would absolutely love any suggestions, validations, inquiries, and encouragement.

    Check me out (:

About me….well I just recently started blogging. I am writing about experiences from my life. I am a divorced father who has been forced to move away from his children so I can make enough money to support them.
It is a very difficult issue for me and communicating with others going through similar problem is helpful. I enjoy the writing and I hope that it will help someone.

  17. Hi, Sam. I have been following you for a bit and thought it was time to drop in and say hello. I am enjoying your blog and living vicariously through your travels.

I am retired and enjoying all the things like writing and art and travel that I could not do while holding down a corporate job. I write about various topics and have recently replaced my morning habit of endlessly scrolling FaceBook with reading blogs from people from all over the world. I love learning a little more about this diverse planet we call home.

Feel free to stop by anytime you have a spare moment. I always respond to comments.

  18. Hey Sam, I’m enjoying your blog. I’m a Brisvegas gal, with a Melbournite’s heart, and Europe in my blood. Enjoy your travelling experiences .. one day (when the kidlet is grown) I plan to see more of this amazing world.

I haven’t a chance to read all the older posts but will potter away. I’m relatively new to the blogging platform … I’ve tried it a few times on and off, but for the first time I’m putting myself and my writing out there and truly loving it.

I’m a work from home, full time Aussie mum.

My blog is not exactly themed on any particular subject … it’s my life and thoughts and writing experiences.

I have only recently joined WordPress, but I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I enjoy writing about all sorts, from random musings and posts about mental health, to poetry and fiction. I am also on Instagram as MeditativeOwl – so, yeah, hello to everyone and I’d really love to see more of you around.

Thankyou for the opportunity to meet like minded individuals! I will definitely look into everyone’s blog as it’s a privilege to be invited on everyone’s journey into blogging!

My blog is where I share all my crafty designs and ideas. I’m mainly a crocheter but I’ve also been known to upholster sofas and the like! This year we’re doing a small crochet along (CAL) to make a blanket ready for Christmas, and I’ve also created some new patterns ready for Easter!

I’m also making a ‘how to’ section, so for any of you interested in starting a new hobby, please pop over or send me an email/ comment, I’m always happy to hear from you all.

  21. What a great idea! I’m really enjoying your blog, by the way. Hello everyone!

I recently got back into blogging after more than a year away. I have two blogs: one that’s just me rambling about life, tech, writing, and the like at:

    http://wordsfromrob.com.

Also, I recently started a new project where I post tech advice and how-to’s for non-techies. I’ve helped my family with tech stuff for years and they talked me into doing this one. It’s here:

I look forward to reading more here, and looking through these comments to find inspiration.

  22. Hi, Sam! I am new here, and am only starting my blog today. I’ve been writing years…since I was in fourth grade. I am 36 now. I am hoping to speak out in a positive way about mental health, and maybe help some others on the way. I was diagnosed as bipolar 1 about 7 years ago, so I have found writing to be therapeutic and helps me control my condition better. Normally ive done this with a journal, but now I am taking it online to help the group that often gets misunderstood and left behind.

  25. Hi again Sam, and thank you (a) the follow and (b) for the opportunity to introduce myself and my blog to your lovely readers!

I’m an indie writer (mostly sci-fi) living in the UK (about 30 miles from London in the county of Surrey) and I’ve had a WordPress Blog for a while:

    https://wordpress.com/view/fromheretoinfinityandbeyond.wordpress.com .

It started out as a place to talk about my writing, but has evolved over time, so that I sometimes blog about other things… most recently about how much I enjoy driving virtual trucks! I try to write helpful and informative posts for other writers, and sometimes share personal stuff if I think it might help someone, somewhere.

I have a son who is probably about your age (he’s 25) and it was he (also called Sam!) who introduced me to the world of simulation driving games. I find it a great way to unwind.

Thanks again for this opportunity to say ‘Hello’ and for the chance to find more interesting blogs to read! Stay safe on your travels!

  27. Thank you for finding and following me. This is the first time I’ve seen a meet and greet page – what a great idea!

We are full-time travelers now. Our blog began in 2015 as we started the process of pulling up roots and freeing ourselves to fly (or walk, peddle, or ride) wherever and whenever we wanted. The blog has two main purposes: a digital journal so I don’t lose the photos and stories of our experiences (most of my previous travel journals lost their lives in a city-wide flood) and to let family friends know what we are up to. It’s a bonus when others gain ideas or inspiration. Check it out at lifephasenext.com. And please leave a comment on any post if you like – we love hear from readers!

  30. Hello, Sam! Your blog/article on consistency in blogging gave me a good idea on how serious bloggers should be on their site and content. I am a newbie blogger here in wordpress and I am amazed on the great community and pool of content it has.

Hello, everyone! I am Tina, a Filipino nurse turned defense writer/analyst and freelance writer, who started blogging just last November 2018. I started the blog named The Open Concavity both as a documentary of my thoughts and experiences, and as a release from the rigors of law studies. I am a fourth year law student here in the Philippines and I plan to blog in my nook for as long as I can think and write.

I really hope to meet new friends from all over the world here. If you have time, please feel free to visit my small piece of the cyberspace at https://openconcavity.wordpress.com/.

    More power to y’all!

  31. Hi Everyone,
First off Sam I think this is a genius idea and I thank you for the opportunity to find others to follow, and perhaps gain some followers as well. I’m pretty much new to blogging, and I’m still figuring it all out.

I love to travel especially via cruises, so at the moment most of my blogs are travel/cruise related, but I would like to add some additional blogs about the struggles of caring for aging parents, one of which has Alzheimer’s Dementia.
I’m trying to figure out if mixing content on my blog is a good idea, so hopefully I can get some feedback.
    Check out my blog at
https://livinlife.blog, I would love to gain more followers!

Sam, I love your blog so far, and I wish you much success!

  33. Hey,

I enjoy blogging too, cheaper than a therapist, ha. It calms me, I can talk about things on my mind and help others with my experience.

I used to have a travel blog which was super fun, then I had two hip surgeries and two fractures in my pelvis, which took three years to recover from, last year I broke my hip in a super genius way 😵🙄, was on crutches for 5 months and had a lot of time on my hands and wrote yet another blog about the recovery and just when I thought “life is good” again, life presented me with a frozen shoulder.

So I guess my speciality these days is writing medical blogs, sharing experiences and encouring others to keep going and never to give up.

I actually started a blog recently called From Helpless to Helpful, where my goal is to help people relate connect about anxiety and depression through personal experiences. I have done some things to promote my blog and get the name out there, but am struggling to gain many views from starting from scratch.
If you are able to, I would be greatly appreciative if you would be able to pass along some advice, tips, or anything my way at any time. Personally writing is what I do to cope with my personal conflicts, and I’m very new to sharing my thoughts, but the idea of being able to help someone through my experiences makes me really want this blog to work. If you can help in any way, email me at any time, and I would be so grateful! Thanks!
