Meet and Greet page: Introduce yourself here!

I am so pleased I set up this meet and greet page. So far hundreds upon hundreds of you have taken the time to like, comment and share your blog with the community. I continuously look through the comments to see what great blogs have been shared, there are such a diverse range of topics and interests it reminds me why this site is so cool. We really are a fascinating species and the fact we all differ in what we like is what makes life seem fun.

Some of them make me laugh. Others are a lot more personal and used as a therapy or with an aim to provide awareness on certain topics. Many of them really do hit me and I am pleased that this channel can help in a small way, even if it contributes to a couple of views or even a follower. You all help me so much with your interest in my blog and it is the least I can do for now to give back some of that appreciation.

I will re-post this meet and greet page every now and then to give some of the newer comments some exposure, and allow those of you that have commented in the past to do so again if you wish.

Here it is, 358 great blogs so far to discover!

Sam

Welcome to my meet and greet page, inspired by some of the first bloggers I followed and I have love that my followers are eager to put their blog posts out there and read the posts shared by others. For this reason I have introduced this page and I will keep returning to it regularly.
I feel my community is now large enough to provide a page for you to promote your blog and get to know other bloggers a little better.

So with that, feel free to introduce yourself here. Who are you and where are you from? I would love to see the diversity here with such an international blogging audience and feel free to link your blog for others to read.

New to this page? Welcome!

Already posted here in the past? Feel free to stop by and say hello anytime.

It is going to be hard if not impossible to keep up with comments on here whilst I publish posts around it, however I am constantly on the page looking at all the contributions and I will re-post this regularly to give a better opportunity for posts to be seen.

Hopefully you find a new cool blog to follow and someone feels the same way about yours 🙂

Happy blogging!

  1. Hi Sam, great photography and I look forward to following your journey. When travelling I find it helps to have low expectations – I have found that almost always when arriving at my destinations they are exceeded.
I’ve just started blogging and am both terrified and excited about when my blog will lead me. Life is so precious and we should make the most out of every day.
My blog is called keepyourchinup.blog and I started it so I could share my fitness journey (doing chin-ups as a mature woman) and as a nutritionist, provide some health living tips. It took me a year of training to achieve my first unassisted chin-up at the bar and now I’m obsessed.
Good luck with the blog, all the best Leonie

      • Hello!
Thank-You Sam for this page. Your blog brings out the traveller spirit in me.
        My name is Swati.
My blog is about conversations between my internal muse and me. Some of the pieces share my experiences and others encompass human emotions which we can all relate to, in the form of poems, short stories, brief philosophical write-ups.
I would love to know you all. Thanks.

  3. Evening!

My name is Kim and I’m a Mental Health Nurse from the UK. I turned to literature to help me with my own Anxiety and stumbled across an amazing book by Thich Nhat Hanh. As a result, I’ve been inspired to try living more mindfully.

I created my blog: https://choosetransformation.blog as a platform for myself initially, to upload videos of my progress and some discussion of key topics.

It’s very new, but I’m really finding this process therapeutic so far and it’s lovely to hear others are also benefiting from what I’m doing.
I’ll always welcome any extra support, chat about experiences and a good debate! x

  4. Hi Sam!
I’ve recently returned from my own year abroad in Australia so I’m loving reading your posts and reminiscing about my own adventures! (even if you are making me a tad jealous)

I started my own lifestyle blog, about a month ago, where I like to talk about my experiences in Australia, navigating this confusing world as a twenty-something year old and anything else that piques my interest!

I always welcome new readers and I’m excited to discover other people’s blogs too!

  8. Hey, Sam! This Meet and Greet thing is such a brilliant and kind idea. Thank you for that! Thank you also for the follow today. Your last post mentioning the English countryside really made me miss it just as much! I already love your blog and your writing. Can’t wait to follow your journey, wherever it takes you!

Hello to everybody else! My name is Erica, I’ve been blogging for a little over two years now, but made it my resolution to post consistently this year. I run a blog called Love and Lyrics where I write about music and lyrics and how they relate to my life. I also cover current events in music, new releases, and music recommendations for days where you might feel like you didn’t know you needed a song to help you through! You can find me at ericadanlle.com for blogging, music posts, and sometimes even links to my own creative writing.

I absolutely love reading about the way blogging has helped you all find or reinvent yourselves. I can’t wait to read about your travels, struggles, and journeys too!

    See you out there! Erica

  11. Hi! This is an amazing idea by the way. I’m a 19 year old aspiring film editor, but have been struggling with my mental health for years, but the past few months have been extremely tough. I decided I have to talk about it to someone, but it’s always easier to talk to someone you can’t actually see! So I created a blog which you can find at https://thelifeofalonelywoman.health.blog/

In my first post on my blog, I’ve talked about some short term goals I’ve set for myself (including limiting my social media intake). Any tips, tricks and general discussions would be amazing! You can find the post here: https://thelifeofalonelywoman.health.blog/2019/04/23/the-beginning-of-the-future/

I hope you have a lovely day 🙂

  12. Hi, my name is Stacey. I just started a blog jinx if spontaneously. It started as a way to record a cross country road trip I am planning but also turned into a mental wellness blog. Writing the blog is really helping to come out of my anti-social shell and start to understand myself better, learn to be happy.

  13. Great read!
Greetings, my name is Derrick and I started my blog ”battered men’s support services” when I was fighting for my daughter in court. Multiple false accusations and abuse, and I realized that my child’s Mother was a narcissist.

After studying mental disorders it made me understand everything that was happening. After noticing a lot of narcissistic personalities in the court room I started helping people out so they don’t need a lawyer. I’ve been doing that since and enjoying watching my daughter grow with me:)

  14. Hey Sam, thanks for the follow! Loving your blog, hope you’re liking mine. I wrote about my travels to South America this year and last year, but I’m continuing to update with practical info on how to plan, plus I’ll be doing a few short trips in Europe this year too which I’ll share. Looking forward to connecting with more people 🙂

  18. Hi my name is Jen, and I started my blog/website http://prairieskywellness.ca because I wanted to share my story with other people dealing with mental health issues. In 2016 I was extremely ill with Type 1 Bipolar and my life was not in a good place in any way. I made the decision – mainly for my children’s sake to take my health into my own hands and do whatever I could to get to a place where I was able to manage my symptoms.

Well, fast forward to today. I am living a happy and healthy life that is relatively free from Bipolar symptoms. I decided to start my blog so I could share with others some of the methods I used to work on my mental health. I am very driven to help people with mental health conditions, because I know that life can get pretty amazing if we are able to put in the hard work. I also started the website because I design crochet patterns, and I wanted somewhere to put them.
    Thanks!

  20. Hi there! I love the idea of getting to know more people through their blogs. I think a lot of writers struggle to speak out loud to people and find that through blogging, we can connect with one another on some level. I have found my voice through writing and love hearing how every single one of us has a story to tell. Thanks for this post, Sam!

  22. Hi Sam and followers — I’m a single mom of four in Georgia in the USA, and I write primarily about dating and relationships, which as you can probably guess, is quite an adventure. My blog, The Year of Living Promiscuously, started as a way to process a personal project I stumbled into, going out with 40 different men over the course of one year. The posts categorized under “The Forty” vary from funny to poignant to downright frightening. Even now that my Year is over, I’ve continued documenting my dating life, including a little more about my background, observations, and writing aspirations.

  23. This is a great idea to find new blogs to read on all sorts of topics. My own blog https://greengirlgardener.com has an emphasis on my progress in the garden as a new gardener and I’ve been writing it for coming up a year. It’s kind of evolved to just whatever’s in my head, so over the winter there was less gardening and more crochet, but now the garden’s springing back to life I’m finding myself writing more about that again. I also love to travel, so I document that too. I don’t have thousands of followers, but I mainly write for myself anyway because I enjoy getting the creative juices flowing in that way 😁.

  25. Sam, looks like this took off really quite nice so far. I appreciate your time encouraging so many, thank you for that. My blog is https://snyderstories.home.blog and it is simply a long memory playing out over time. Nothing unique, plans for it are lightweight. I want to remember small details of my family and life as we experience things together. A blog felt like a good option for that.

  26. Hello, Sam! After 20 years as a newspaper reporter, I wrote my first book, “The Anchor Clankers.” Though the main character’s situation is quite unique (she’s the only girl living in a boys’ military boarding school,) the book includes themes common to every teen, including prejudice, peer pressure and coping with change. My blog frequently includes interviews with other authors https://reneewritesnow.wordpress.com/

Where I am different is, I do not do blog tours and I don’t participate in tags. I just write. I write about writing, book reviews, and book related things.

  30. Wassup my digitty dogs, I’m sped. I’m in America, so to all y’all stalkers out there, I wish you good luck in trying to find me. I started my blog because I was a bored piece of shit. Here I am, 23(?) hours after starting to write on here, introducing my ass to all you fancy funky people. Now you can expect this type of self depreciation in my blog as well as a few insults(to keep you engaged of course). I will warn you, I’m mysterious as the dark side of the moon(and about as intelligent as a rock). And with a tip of my metaphorical hat, I will now disappear(whoosh sound effect). That was my goodbye for all the clueless.
