My days in Brisbane are numbered, and I don’t have long left to enjoy these kinds of views. It’s very sad to think.
However in a way I am pleased that the working holiday visa only allows 6 months with one company. It forces me to move on when it is so easy to become complacent. It took me four years in a job to realise I wanted to travel and I’m glad I did. The reason I am here is because I don’t believe in becoming complacent, as easy as it is to do.
We have one chance to see the world and we can’t do it by staying in the same spot.

So… where next?
Melbourne! If I can I may stop off at the Gold Coast and Byron Bay on the way down, but my next long term settlement will be in Melbs 🙂
I love Melbs. For me, the tram does it. It’s such a cosy city. So… enjoy 🙂
I like that the tram is free in the CBD! Very cool. Looking forward to exploring on it.
I forgot that. Thanks. going in Jan/Feb 2020 🙂
Cool! I bet you are counting down the days. Mark it on the calendar!
I am (more or less ;-))
It’s same here and no matter where and when the first few days are difficult to adjust.
Yeah the first few days in a new place are, but after that it’s usually great. Stay tuned for posts from Melbourne!
Hope you get to like Melbourne as much.
I am sure I will, from the short visit I had there it seemed great and I am looking forward to seeing more of it 🙂
Heard its unbearably hot these days over there. Stay safe
It is! Thank goodness for air con. I don’t know how people survived pre air-con days :/
Take care and stay safe🦋
🙂
The end of one journey marks the beginning of another.
Well said 🙂
Looking forward to your next ”residence”, Sam.
Same! A new place with completely fresh posts. Looking forward to it!
You’ll love Melbourne.
I think so too!
