The Twelve Apostles are a very popular attraction on the Great Ocean Road. The site consists of eight limestone stacks, despite the name there were only nine stacks (one collapsed in July 2005) but eight still remain and provide some pretty spectacular views.
This was by far my favourite section of the trip despite the clouds, but I do believe it adds something to the dramatic scenery. I hope you enjoy the shots!

You’re certainly getting some scenery!
Haha I am aren’t I? I am trying to get as much as I can :p
Such amazing places! Thanks for sharing!
A truly stunning drive, no problem and thank you for reading!
Gorgeous photos!
Thanks! It is easy with such good scenery around to snap 🙂
Lovely photos! I did this journey many years ago and I remember the scenery was stunning. The Apostles are quite a sight!
It really is stunning. A beautiful drive and I am glad you have experienced it!
What a stunning place! It kind of reminds me of the Mendocino headlands in California.
I haven’t heard of that place, however as you say it reminds you of this drive I feel like I need to go!
Fab photos! Lots of ships wrecked on that coastline, the Loch Ard Gorge survival story is a good one.
There’s tourist video footage of an Apostle actually falling into the ocean – timing!
I have seen more shipwrecks off the coast of Australia than I have ever seen ever! It really adds to the landscape and it would have been great to dive and see some more of these.
Also, I looked for the footage previously and haven’t found anything so far 🙁
Neither have I…just YouTube reenactments…it was real tourist footage and shown on TV channels…maybe it’s long been withdrawn…
That’s a shame if so, it would have been spectacular to see I am sure!
Beautiful pictures 🌟
Thank you! And thanks for stopping by 🙂
