The Twelve Apostles are a very popular attraction on the Great Ocean Road. The site consists of eight limestone stacks, despite the name there were only nine stacks (one collapsed in July 2005) but eight still remain and provide some pretty spectacular views.

This was by far my favourite section of the trip despite the clouds, but I do believe it adds something to the dramatic scenery. I hope you enjoy the shots!

  1. Fab photos! Lots of ships wrecked on that coastline, the Loch Ard Gorge survival story is a good one.

There’s tourist video footage of an Apostle actually falling into the ocean – timing!

    1. I have seen more shipwrecks off the coast of Australia than I have ever seen ever! It really adds to the landscape and it would have been great to dive and see some more of these.
