Do Australian summer storms always look this good? Obviously my iphone camera couldn’t truly capture the moment, but I gave it my best shot. It is safe to say- and it probably seems apparent to my regular readers- that I love a good storm.
I was planning to blog everyday whilst on holiday, that obviously wasn’t the case and I am sorry for that. One of the main reasons was that I struggled to connect to WiFi and I was often soaking wet from the Great Barrier Reef, swimming pools or spilled beers. I did have an amazing time and I have very much looked forward to telling you all about it. New blog post for the Travel Diary tomorrow.
As it has been a few days since I last posted, I have realised how long it takes to respond to comments and look at my notifications. Not that I would change that for the world, however it concerns me as I don’t want to miss some of your messages. It made me think of how busy I will be in the next couple of weeks relocating away from Sydney (which is sad times indeed) and won’t have as much time to blog although I will.
So I was wondering what you all thought about this. Do you like my daily updates, or prefer a post every three days or so which would allow me time to respond to comments and maybe create one larger post each time. I enjoy daily posts, and it keeps me on my toes. But once every 3-4 days may also be great if I can keep my audience interested and create something a little greater perhaps whilst keeping up with comments.
What did you think of the storm, and what are your thoughts on my update frequencies? Daily and short or a little less frequent and longer?

It was such a good storm to see in person. I have things I would like to say each and every day, so it depends how much time I have. Once I have moved in a couple weeks, I will hopefully have more of a steady schedule to post daily 🙂

Enjoyed the storm footage. As it is cold and covered with snow here, it made me long for summer.
As to posting, I certainly enjoy reading your daily posts. However, totally understand the challenges of writing and responding to comments. I would enjoy your posts every three days or every day. Whatever works best for you. -Jill

I loved the storm! They’re one of my favorite things to see in general, and you captured it pretty well. Personally, I’ll follow your posts whenever and however frequently you choose to write them. They come to my email. I enjoy seeing them, but sometimes I don’t even get to read them on the same day anyway and I’ll read a batch every third day or so. Whatever works for you is fine with me. Good luck with your relocation!

They are so magnificent to see in person, aren’t they? It is awesome to read that you get my posts via email, that makes me happy! I guess as there are times when I cannot post every day, people like yourself cannot read everyday either. That makes me feel better if I am unable to post each and every day. Not a fan of lightning as it usually causes wildfires here, but the video is impressive….it won’t start any fire here…..hahaha.
I like to read your posts as you know, but I do think with work, travel, etc., you should do what is comfortable for you. It wouldn’t be good to get bogged down with everything.

It was too wet to cause a wildfire here haha. Yeah I don’t want to get bogged down, but at the same time blogging is very fun and keeps me sharp. It is a busyness I enjoy. There may be times when I have to cut down temporarily, but I will stick to the daily ramblings I am sure 🙂

Enjoyed the storm footage. Reminds me of some of the storms we get in Canadian summers. I spent a week in Cairns at end of 2014 beginning of 2015. Summer in Cairns is too hot for me (+37 feels like +46C and 100% humidity. Even my sweat had sweat.

Even your sweat had sweat- hahahahaha. I understand what you are saying though, it was very hot especially out on the Great Barrier Reef with little shelter. Did you have a good time? I loved it there!

Growing up in Brisbane, those thunder storms were/are a regular occurrence in the summer but no fear of bushfires, as everything is lush and green. Walking home from school barefoot in the rain with the gutters overflowing is a great memory of my childhood.
